Stopped in this shop with a bad problem with my brakes, I was in town to visit my brother and his family discovered a major issue with my front brakes. The young girl who took all my information was extremely well versed with the knowledge of what I needed and the importance of this repair as I was about to head home to Georgia, a ten hour journey. I was able to talk with the mechanic personally and that the repair would get me home safely. I was extremely happy with both the customer service and the repair service. Went to the door and it was locked so I started to leave and someone came out and ask what I needed. I told them and then he took a look at it and went back inside and came out with a new bulb and replaced it. I ask him what I owed and he did not charge anything. I hate having to deal with automotive services and repairs, but the needs of my car overshadowed my distaste. I was referred to A&E Auto Repair by another shop who felt my car needed services he could not accommodate. What a wonderful chance that he referred me to A&E. I was greeted warmly and throughly explained what they could do to help me. Adam and Sheila, at the front desk, put me at ease making the diagnostic appointment for just days later. When I arrived for the appointment again I was greeted, by name, which was pleasant. . They asked if there was anything else they could do to assist me, and I mentioned I needed an oil change no problem and while they had it up on the rack, they could also rotate my tires for a very small fee.. Bravo! While the mechanics worked on my car, I spent my time in a very comfortable A/C waiting lounge, with excellent WIFI, cold water, coffee and plenty of magazines. When my diagnostic was complete, their staff had found the issue, and they gave me a couple suggestions and price quotes. Their proposal also included photographs of each area they checked. It was easy to understand, and easy to see the area they were referring to. I still have to decide how extensive I want to get with the repairs, but there was no pressure. Most of us just want an honest place to get auto repairs done at a reasonable price. That's what we found that at A&E Auto Repair! I took my car to A&E Auto for an auto inspection. I had been told by a chain auto repair establishment I needed some major repairs, so I wanted a second opinion. A&E was very thorough. They even pointed out on the car what repairs were needed and what weren't needed. Their prices were a fraction of the cost of the other place. When I did have them do the repairs they sent us photos and texts of the repairs and parts! They were amazing!! Everyone is friendly and helpful! I would give them more than 5 stars if possible. They also told me, approximately, when my car would be done with repairs. It hasn't reached the time that they had told me yet so I can't comment about that right now. But when it does reach to when they estimated that my car will be done with repairs I will rate and comment again on service and delivery.

We noticed we had no brakes in our truck on a Holiday weekend. We called A&E on Tues telling them what we thought the issue was and that we would need the truck back the next day at noon as we use the truck for our lawn business. I would give this repair facility a triple A+ rating. I retired working for a dealership and I?m very familiar with servicing customers and customer satisfaction. I had a fuel delivery issue with my vehicle and this was my third repair facility that I went to try to diagnose it correctly. Marco, the owner of the store, took it upon himself to take the fuel tank down to see if he could find the issue. He found wiring problems and eliminated the issue. He took it upon himself to drop the tank to see if problem was there even after telling him it wasn?t the tank. If he hadn?t found the problem he would have not charged me for the removal of the tank and reinstallation. But he found the issue and corrected it. He sent me pictures of the work done as well. I would highly highly recommend this repair facility as a trustworthy and confident i?m quite capable of fixing vehicles of all types.

Bottom line: This is a great shop, run by good honest people that deserve your business. I brought a Chrysler minivan to A&E to diagnose a major transmission problem. Prior to bringing it in, I had already run an OBD2 scan and read out the trouble codes so I had a good idea of what was wrong. They diagnosed it with 100% accuracy, no games there. The owner, Marco, then went above & beyond to find a replacement transmission with a good warranty instead of just quoting me with the first one he could find. Needless to say, because the transmission had to get completely replaced, it was a very expensive repair. I have an FCA credit card that gives me 0% financing over 6 months on vehicle service, but unfortunately A&E isn't an FCA affiliate shop, so in the end I had to take it to the dealership for the repairs so I could take advantage of my card's special financing. Marco couldn't have been more gracious. He understood completely and gave me no trouble for the decision, it wasn't even a tense conversation. Such an easy-going, good guy. Of course, I paid him the inspection fee but because he was so damn nice about it all, I felt compelled to write this review. From now on, I will refer everyone I know to Marco at A&E as their first stop if they need help with car trouble.

Recently our transmission went out on our Van. The Van was pulled to A & E Auto. They did the initial testing and determined it was the Van. Working with the office, they determined it might be covered by warranty so they suggested that I get it taken to the dealership. The Van ended up being taken and indeed it was covered. Very honest shop with very reasonable prices. Their technicians are extremely thorough, and once they are finished, you get detailed invoices and lists of everything that they looked at. Great customer service from Shala at the front desk, with a positive attitude and no pressure to get things fixed, and Mike did a great job working on my car. This is a very professional shop, but without the professional prices. I literally called 7 different shops in the Port Charlotte area for quotes, and nobody else had lower hourly labor rates than A&E. If you don?t believe me, do a Google search of shops and call around the area to see for yourself. Ask them what their hourly labor rates are... I had a few issues last week with my old RSX (photo attached) in-between Tampa and Miami, but A&E got me back on the road without lying to me or breaking the bank. They arranged for me to pick up my car this past Saturday morning from their lot, and I had an enjoyable and issue-free drive all the way down the gorgeous back-roads of Florida to Key Largo. This is a really great looking office and building. Everything is very clean and they have a great waiting room! The staff and service are exemplary here! When I first came to A & E, I had an alternator problem and a problem with the engine constantly puffing out smoke. I recently bought an aftermarket warranty for my vehicle and they were able to work with the company and have them pay for the whole on alternator problem! Then they dug into the engine to see what was wrong with that and the whole engine was basically falling apart. They are really great at documenting everything they do and taking pictures of everything they do. The engine was basically a ticking time bomb and so we decided to replace the whole thing. The owner found a great deal on a used engine with less than half the mileage of the original, plus he was able to work with the warranty company and they paid for the majority! These are some really great people with the utmost integrity! Working with them is one of the best experiences I've ever had with a mechanic.

These guys go above and beyond. Our car broke down on the highway on the way to the Mayo Clinic, AAA told us they couldn?t fit our young kids in the tow truck and they were sorry. A&E heard we had kids with us and without even asking they contacted a rental car company, got us a discount with them, and arranged for them to pick us up on the side of the highway. This has been my experience with A&E Auto for the last 12 years and counting... What started off as an innocent oil change because of a coupon I got in the mail has turned into a TRUSTED, family owned and operated auto repair clinic that I will continue taking my vehicles to for ANYTHING they need until they either close or I die. I've always found their pricing to be more than fair, but beyond that...I just don't think you can put a price tag on TRUST, especially in the auto repair business that is RAMPANT with scam artists that will happily tell you that you need to repair something that doesn't need it. Supporting this business provides me and my wife with peace of mind because I can soundly drop my car off and KNOW that if they make a recommendation, then I KNOW it needs to be taken care of for the long term care of my vehicle. I used to bring my car to A&E but for a few yrs I chose a closer repair shop to where I lived. That proved to be one of the biggest mistakes of my auto life! When I came back, I found out my car hadn't had the 80,000, 90,000 or almost any other mile check. I have a 2000 focus I've had for 13 yrs and it's been a great car. I opted to fix it. We're still in the process of repairs but I couldn't be more greatful to be back in the family! I had also informed Marco & Darlene, I would follow them anywhere. The nicest most accommodating people I have worked with in along time! Prices are more than reasonable, they kept me updated every step of the way, and took pictures of everything to show me. I also need to mention that my son had a lengthy stay in the hospital during this time and Marco kept my truck in storage, for free, for several weeks for free until I was able to return for it. And they sent my son a very nice card during his stay in the hospital. I will be bringing all of my vehicles here from now on! Great place and great people!
